COMMITTEE CHAIR POSITIONS

Chair Positions for the county council are reviewed on an annual basis
and updated accordingly by the executive committee. The Council is
all ways looking for ways to diversify and bring programs that
support and help the local units and PTA to become stronger.  If you
(or someone you know) have an idea for a program or event for the
council to run, please talk to an officer about finding a home for the
idea.

Some current chair positions are as follows:
·         Advocacy (Legislative): Share with the local units the position of
the PTA on local & relevant topics.   Promote and encourage local
units (and members) to participate in     the annual legislative
activity of Florida & National PTA.

·         Awards: Inform local units about the council’s awards &
recognition program.  Create & update the program as necessary to
insure relevancy to local units.  Encourage local units to apply for
recognition and awards at the council, state & national levels of PTA.
Disseminate awards at an appropriate venue each year.  [This event
may be coordinated to include activities of the Membership
Appreciation and Scholarship & Grant Committees.]

arts in Palm Beach County. Research, disseminate and promote
